Embracing the "GROWING PAINS" of Elevation

THESE ARE THE "GROWING PAINS" OF ELEVATION!!

2008 has been a year for the record books for me.... GOD flipped my life completely around, sending me on a roller coaster ride that has not stopped yet!!!! I went from being singled to being engaged to my best friend, living with 4 room mates in VA to purchasing my first home with my Fiancé in Capitol Heights, going from being Engaged to my best friend to marring my best friend, then being Godly promoted from a Deacon to a Minister.... all in a one year timeframe...so to speak.

The world views my elevation like this New Fiancé, New Home, New Wife, New Title, “Your on Top of the world” they say…..but they do not see is the "Growing Pains" that comes with those rewards. Don’t get me wrong…these are awesome rewards and accomplishment and it’s not a day that does not go by that I am not thankful, blessed and honored for all that GOD has blessed me with “because if the truth be told…I am by far worthy to have any of these rewards”. I want to educate and encourage anyone that is reading this that you must be in tuned with God to be able to handle all that he has for you…. There are serious task, duties and responsibilities that come with being rewarded and there is NO room for complacency, laziness, egos, or arrogance because your rewards will then become your destroyer. My accomplishments are not just for pleasure “ONLY” but it’s for Purpose…I have to remain humble, grounded, and Christ guided so that in each one of those gifts that I have been privilege to have will be used for the Glory of GOD to fulfill a greater purpose. “And we know all things work together for the good of them that love Christ and are called according to his purpose!” (Romans 8:28)

I understand the Apostle Paul when he said; I don't say all this of boast or brag but to encourage!!! You see Elevation can be a serious "Throne in your flesh" (2 Corinthians 12:7), meaning you embrace the joy of promotions, but your humbled by the responsibilities that come with it. I bless the Lord because every time I even think about looking at my life in a selfish way, I am sat down to be humbled because I am reminded of when I did not have, knowing that it is nothing but the Grace of GOD and for HIS PURPOSE that I am who am in the position that I am in. Though I did not shed physical tear, I cried mentally through each rewarding experience...tears of joy, tears of fear, tears of happiness and tear pain; because from the outside looking in, everything looks so "worldly rewarding" but from the inside looking out, I see the big picture of things. I now have a family to lead and a house to be the head of and a life-term assignment that I have been called to do for the sake of my father.

So what are the “GROWING PAINS” of Elevation?

The Desire, The Burden, The Mission, The Purpose

ALL YOUR NEEDS.....ALL HIS RICHES!!!!!

How is everyone doing out there is the Blog World. As for me and mine; we couldn’t complain if we wanted too (well actually we could but GOD has been too Good to us…so WE WON’T) other then that…. I say again, we are great!!!! I look at my current situation and I say “MY GOD” if you brought me out all that I WENT thought…..what I am going through now is NOTHING!!!!!!!! (Yes, thank you Jesus for that “Unbreakable”, “Unwavering”, “True to your word” “In the mist of ALL HELL BREAK LOOSE” FAITH!!!) I know my God will supply ALL my need according to his riches
(Wow, did yall catch that…….I just caught that one…)

Philippians 4:19
“But My God will Supply ALL your needs, According to HIS riches and Glory”

“Will Supply ALL your needs…..”
- God will give you EVERYTHING you need (God see’s that a need is greater then a want), so when were complain about all that we don’t have, ask yourself the question “do I need it or do I want it” or better yet don’t ask because GOD will determine for you if you need it or if you just want it. We serve a GOD that does not think like us, so when were acting stupid about things, GOD is being smart about things….and that is how we can have everything that we need and not always have everything that we want…….BUT GOD – cause even still, after GOD has made sure that you have everything that you need, he still promised us that he would give us the DESIRE of our hearts (in other words “ Our Wants”)

“According to his Riches…”
- When we accepted Christ in our life, we gained access to an account with unlimited resources. You see when you have a “World Mentality” then you operate on what you see on your “Pay Check” or what you have in your “Bank Account” or how much you have saved in your “retirement or 401K”….or to make it simple “how much you have in your pocket, right now”……but when your operating in the holy spirit and you begin to see, think and walk in a “Christ-Like Mentality” (the word of GOD) then you don’t care if your bank account is in the Negative, or if you’re a few payment behind on some bills, or you don’t have all the resources to get all that you need and want. Because the bible said “If you are faith over the little things, I will make you ruler over many” (Matthew 25:23)…… but again we serve a GOD that has all and died on the cross and came back just so he can give all that he has to us. Your bank account will never have enough money in it to satisfy your needs and wants, but the world plants that in our minds that is why we are, have been, and probably will always be so dependent on worldly things because we don’t have enough faith in Christ to say “Yes I live in the world, but not OF the world”, Yes I work for money and have money in my bank account but ultimately all my RICHES and GLORY comes from you!!!! Man can not give me anything unless GOD gives it to him 1st to give to me….

Family lets tap into our resources the next time were in a jam….but the Bible says “I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor a seed begging bread”

Do not forsake GOD of what belongs to him, Give him the 1st fruit of your labor and you will never have to want for ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!! Because he will do Philippians 4:19 ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!
